Organised by Abu Dhabi Maritime, part of AD Ports Group, the 2nd Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards (Marinas Edition) has opened submissions for marina facilities in the MENA Region and Türkiye (MENAT) to showcase achievements and outstanding contributions to the maritime sector.

The Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards aim to recognise and honour outstanding marina facilities that demonstrate exceptional standards across various fields. This year, new categories have been introduced to further highlight the diverse aspects of marina excellence.

The six categories for 2024 are: Sustainability, Employer Excellence, Health & Safety, Customer Experience, Innovation and Outstanding Marina.

Entries for the 2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards are open until 31 August 2024 with finalists being announced at the Awards Ceremony scheduled on 23 November 2024 at the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS).

The event will offer a unique opportunity for maritime professionals to celebrate those who have made significant contributions to the industry.

Captain Saif Al Mheiri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Maritime and Acting Chief Sustainability Officer at AD Ports Group, said: "The success of last year’s inaugural Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards underscored the incredible achievements of marinas across the region. For the 2024 edition, we are excited to see even more entries highlighting best practice and elevating industry standards.

These awards highlight our ongoing commitment to fostering excellence and recognising the outstanding contributions of our maritime community." The awards are open to all licensed marina owners or operators within the MENAT region, regardless of size.

Marinas that are industry innovators and implement positive changes within their respective categories are encouraged to participate.

Applicants can choose to submit in one category or several, and those choosing to enter the award for Outstanding Marina will be automatically eligible for all other categories.

Each entry will be meticulously evaluated by a panel of distinguished industry experts and regulatory bodies, ensuring independent assessment across the board.
