Miral has announced a 16,900 square metre expansion to Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Set for completion in 2025, the expansion will feature an addition of 3.3 kilometres of slide sections and is expected to grow guest capacity by 20 per cent.
The park will also feature 18 new rides and attractions, taking the park total to more than 60 rides and experiences. The waterpark will include the UAE’s highest slide, as well as the GCC region’s first water park ride, that is integrated within a waterslide complex. The water ride includes a 15 metre-high drop for up to 20 guests.

Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi currently includes The Legend of the Lost Pearl story, which reflects the UAE’s pearl-diving heritage. The park will also feature the Lost City, which showcases passages intertwined with attractions. Features of the new expansion includes a swim up bar, a boat ride, racing and tube slides, family raft rides and a duelling master blaster. The expansion aims to cater to children, by providing smaller scaled rides.
