Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and Mother of the Nation, and the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA), and Chairwoman of both the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club, FBMA will bring the spirit of sports and community engagement to Ramadan with a series of tournaments designed to promote women's participation in athletics.
The Ramadan tournaments, spanning six days from 14-19 March 2025 will feature a diverse range of competitions, including basketball, padel, volleyball, running, football for ladies, and football for academies. The tournaments will be held across various sports facilities within FBMA, which are equipped with the highest standards of quality and safety, providing an ideal platform for female athletes to showcase their skills and compete in an exceptional sporting environment. FBMA has also allocated a prize pool worth AED49,000 to encourage participation and celebrate outstanding achievements.
In addition to the competitive sporting atmosphere, FBMA will host the Ramadan Women's Majlis, Malqa, which offers a unique blend of warm ambiance, refined hospitality, and engaging activities at the academy. The experience brings together the sporting tournaments, and authentic Ramadan traditions, allowing visitors to witness competitions and immerse themselves in the cultural Ramadan experience. Malqa is open daily from 8.30pm to 12:30am until 19 March 2025.
