Under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the first round of the UAE Motosurf Championship is set to take place on 2 November 2024 at Corniche Breakwater, Abu Dhabi. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the event aims to expand the variety of sporting events hosted by the emirate, reinforcing Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for water sports.
The championship will feature six categories, including Juniors, Women, Challenger (for new beginners), Masters, Rockies (for first-time participants), and Veteran competitors, offering diverse opportunities for athletes of varying levels to compete. Attracting 90 participants from 11 countries, the event showcases Abu Dhabi’s commitment to promoting maritime sports.
In support of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club’s strategy to host events across Abu Dhabi’s waterfronts, the championship highlights the emirate’s ongoing efforts to boost maritime sports development and attract international sporting talent, further enhancing the sport's growing popularity.
