The UAE Muay Thai Championship for both men and women has concluded after three days at Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, setting new records with 824 fighters from 61 clubs competing for top honours.
Organised by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, the championship reinforced the nation’s position as a powerhouse for the sport. It attracted fighters from across the UAE, as well as international participants from Uzbekistan, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine, Libya, and Tunisia.
The event showcased competitors ranging from ages 8 to 23, battling across multiple weight divisions in a fierce display of skill and endurance.
The final day witnessed 173 bouts across four rings, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s standing as a global Muay Thai capital. With the federation’s strategic vision and ambitious event calendar, the championship played a pivotal role in scouting new talent, fostering growth, and providing a competitive platform for athletes to shine on the international stage.
The distinguished guests comprised His Excellency Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE; His Excellency Amor Fritah, Ambassador of Algeria to the UAE; Mustafa Jabbar Ulek, President of the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation; Shaker Al-Shorouf – President of the Palestinian Muay Thai Federation; Yasser Salem Al-Saadi, Vice President of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation; Tariq Mohammed Al Muhairi – Board Member of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation and Secretary General of the Arab Muay Thai Federation; Jamshidbek Bekmurodov – Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Muay Thai Federation and Ali Khouri, Board Member of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation.
The club rankings and medal standing included Tiger Gym in first place with 34 medals, 16 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze. In second place was Abu Dhabi Muay Thai with 31 medals, 16 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze. Dragon Team Uzbekistan claimed third place with 34 medals,15 gold, 15 silver, 4 bronze. Finally, Iraq National Team secured fourth place with 14 medals, 9 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.
His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations and Chairman of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, extended his deepest gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, for his unwavering support.

Al Neyadi also praised the contributions of regional and international federations, participating clubs, coaches, and the organising committee, emphasising that the championship’s success represents a major milestone in the sport’s global expansion and development.
