The second round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025, which featured No-Gi competitions, has concluded at Al Nasr Club in Dubai. The event attracted a large audience and showcased outstanding performances by athletes across multiple categories.
Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club took the top spot, followed by Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club and MOD Academy, who placed second and third respectively. The championship continues to reaffirm its status as a premier sporting platform, attracting top athletes and emerging talent from across the country.
The competitions were attended by His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Suhail Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Authority of Sports; His Excellency Yousef Abdullah Al Batran, Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Fareed Al Qaiwani, Executive Director of Al Nasr Sports Games Company; Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club; and a number of federation officials, sponsors and partners.

Zayed Al Qubaisi, a blue belt athlete from Baniyas Club who won gold in the 46kg under-18 category, said: "Winning gold in this championship is a proud moment for me and the result of the hard work and continuous training I put in with my team. The federation’s competitions offer valuable opportunities to refine our skills and develop our fighting styles in a highly competitive setting. They also allow us to compete against top athletes, helping us assess our performance, and progress towards our goals, both locally and internationally."
Rashid Mohammed Al Shehhi, a brown belt athlete from Al Ain Club, who won gold in the 56kg adult category, said: "In jiu-jitsu, true competitors are those who strive for continuous improvement. The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is a key platform for developing champions and advancing the sport’s professional standards. The high level of competition in the adult category demonstrates the championship’s elite status, as winning requires more than just fighting skills, it demands a complete strategy, tactical intelligence, physical discipline, and mental focus.
