Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy announces the launch of its summer camp activities for discovering emerging talent at its newly opened headquarters.
The camp will run from 8-25 July and will welcome children of various ages, with a focus on girls between the ages of three to 12, and boys between the ages of three to 10.
The camp offers children the opportunity to take part in daily activities, such as cooking classes, as well as sports including basketball, volleyball, martial arts, and self-defence classes such as karate. Participants will also have the chance to join specialised activities and workshops led by elite specialised trainers.
Abdullah Al Tamimi, a representative of Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, said: "We have prepared programmes to improve teamwork skills in a fun and safe competitive environment. We have made the camp a social centre with a family atmosphere, giving girls the opportunity to unleash their talents and hobbies in a safe environment, develop friendships, and enhance skills. This has been the goal of the camp from the beginning, in addition to developing and refining these talents.”
"We launched this year's edition of the summer camp under the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club. She has significantly contributed to achieving our mission of creating a new generation of women practicing various sports by providing all means and capabilities socially, health-wise, and physically to elevate women's roles as active elements in a vibrant, sports-encouraging society from a young age. We wish the participants a wonderful time during the camp."
The academy aims to focus on the younger age groups and accommodates hundreds of children in the summer camp, refining and developing their skills. The academy seeks to create a sports generation with healthy physical builds by following a unified educational and training approach, providing the necessary facilities, means, and suitable environment to practice hobbies that shed light on their talents, and continuously encouraging them to improve their performance.
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy headquarters include air-conditioned indoor sports halls equipped with advanced equipment, as well as a theatre, educational halls, and artistic and scientific exhibitions.
