The Arab Muay Thai Federation has launched the first-ever Arab Fight Night Muay Thai Championship. Taking place on 17 August at Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, the event aims to showcase the emirate’s commitment to advancing the sport across the Arab world.

The championship aims to elevate competitive standards and nurture the next generation of professional Muay Thai champions. A total of 28 athletes from Arab nations, including Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and the UAE will compete in 15 intense bouts.

Among the competitors are UAE’s Mohammed Mardi, a three-time world champion in the under-67 kg class and a recent Muay Thai silver medallist in Greece; Palestinian Amir Al Amleh, the gold medallist at the World Muay Thai Championship in the under-63 kg class; Moroccan Hamza Rashid, a bronze medallist at the World Muay Thai Championship; and Iraqi champion Sajjad Bashir, among other distinguished fighters.

The event features four matchups with UAE champions Mohammed Mardi, Ibrahim Bilal, Ahmed Al Shammar, and Rafi Ramzi, and will include semi-final draws for the coveted Arab Champion title in the middleweight category. The championship is open to the public with free admission.
