Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector - City Municipality Centre, has completed the comprehensive redevelopment works of Bainuna Park in Abu Dhabi, enhancing the park's amenities to cater to visitors of various age groups.
The park’s modern facilities include children's play areas, green spaces and barbecue zones, with thorough consideration for the needs of People of Determination. The upgrades aim to improve the visitor experience, foster community interaction, enhance the emirate’s aesthetic appeal and promote sustainability and wellbeing.
The development works included demolishing the old fountain and rehabilitating the area by planting flowers and ground covers to enhance and expand green spaces. The park also underwent a 3,000 metre comprehensive rehabilitation of its walkway and paths.
Five sand and rubber play areas for children were established, with the addition of 14 new games, including two designed for People of Determination. A badminton court was constructed, and guidance and directional signs were installed throughout the park. Decorative lighting was added, all lighting poles were maintained, six designated barbecue areas were created, and the park’s green spaces and restrooms underwent comprehensive rehabilitation.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality reaffirms its commitment to continuously developing public parks, gardens, recreational facilities, sports tracks, and neighbourhood parks across its jurisdiction. These efforts aim to meet community aspirations and provide modern recreational community facilities that align with the highest international standards.
