The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has opened registrations for executives to apply for a six-day AI programme to be held at its campus in Abu Dhabi in October 2024.
Thirty local and international executives are encouraged to apply to the MBZUAI Executive Program - Accelerated (MEP-A) - a condensed, tailored programme of the university’s MBZUAI Executive Program (MEP) - with applications now open for the first cohort.
The programme will begin with an orientation day on 20 October, with on-campus lectures, site visits, and cultural and networking activities to be held from 21-25 October 2024.
The curriculum will cover the UAE National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, AI fundamentals, and industry case studies ranging from robotics to manufacturing and energy. Participants will also have the opportunity to get first-hand experience on how UAE-based entities are adopting AI and advanced technologies through site visits and networking events.
Instructors include MBZUAI’s President and University Professor, Eric Xing; Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley, Michael Jordan; Vice President for Research and Professor of Robotics at MBZUAI, Sami Haddadin; and instructors from top international institutions, as well as leaders from national entities.
Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President of Public Affairs and Alumni Relations at MBZUAI, said: "MEP-A has maintained its academic rigor and offers local and international executives, startup founders and co-founders, top management from publicly traded companies and multinational corporations, and international foundation directors’ the opportunity to access the greatest global minds in Artificial Intelligence right here in Abu Dhabi.
"In return for their minimal time commitment, participants will graduate with knowledge on the best practices in AI strategy and implementation as well as how to use the power of AI responsibly. The programme will conclude with business integration – enabling participants to directly apply their knowledge to their organisations – and networking opportunities with past MEP alumni."
A total of 30 international and UAE-based participants will be selected and may opt to attend GITEX Global at Dubai World Trade Center from 14-18 October2024 as a prelude to MEP-A. Applications close on 25 September 2024, with details available on MBZUAI’s website or by emailing ep@mbzuai.ac.ae.
