In the presence of HE Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth and HE Ali Al Ketbi, Chairman of Department of Government Support in Abu Dhabi, Ministry of Culture and Youth signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi School of Government to launch a Cultural and Creative Industries Training Programme, based on which the creative community in the UAE will receive international training programmes geared towards creative and talented university students and youth.

This opportunity offers them the necessary skills and core competencies required to implement strategic goals of the UAE, contribute to the development of the cultural and creative industries and to create an ecosystem for future leaders to thrive. The new partnership will provide opportunity to creatives to benefit from a wide range of training courses and online programmes offered by some of the best universities and educational institutions around the world.

The agreement was signed virtually by His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, and Dr. Nama Salmeen Alameri, Dean at Abu Dhabi School of Government. Al Nakhi affirmed that this strategic partnership provides a unique opportunity to acquire more experience, skills and knowledge in the creative and cultural fields and open new avenues for individuals in the cultural and creative industries sector. This partnership will add to the UAE’s keenness to invest in the cultural sector, especially as a result of the global health pandemic.
