In celebration of International Youth Day, the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has concluded its Green Adventurers summer camp, which focused on the theme of Exploring Sustainability for Tomorrow.

The camp, aimed to educate students about the principles of sustainability and how to leverage digital tools and innovative thinking to tackle global challenges and achieve sustainable development goals, aligning with this year's International Youth Day theme, From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development.

During the camp, students participated in diverse activities that integrated innovation and digitalisation with sustainability. These included adopting eco-friendly lifestyles to minimise waste and embracing recycling practices using the latest technology-driven solutions and digital applications. The camp also emphasised the importance of environmental sustainability, supported by studies that endorse the use of digital technologies to mitigate climate change.

The camp aimed to increase students' awareness and responsibility regarding environmental issues by emphasising the importance of sustainability in daily life and our shared duty to protect and preserve the planet for current and future generations. The camp addressed environmental challenges and promoted sustainability through sustainable resource management, climate action, and the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality to apply sustainability principles.

The summer camp also highlighted the UAE’s commitment to building a sustainable future and showcased the nation's significant investments in sustainability across various sectors. These initiatives, aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, focus on clean energy, environmental conservation, and sustainable economic growth, while also enhancing education, healthcare, efficient resource use, and reducing the impacts of climate change.
