The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge and the Ministry of Education have adopted a strategic direction to centralise Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in the emirate at United Arab Emirates University, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of medical professionals in Abu Dhabi and align education with the emirate's needs in this vital sector.
The approved strategy includes supporting Khalifa University as a world-leading research institution, offering various academic programmes at postgraduate level and conducting research on engineering and health and life sciences to support development of, and foster, research and innovation in the emirate.
