Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and BioSoul, a strategic consultancy that specialises in promoting sustainable solutions and eco-friendly processes for architects, designers, and marine builders, have signed an agreement that will see the company establish its global headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was signed by Khalifa Al Mahmoud, Acting Director of Investor Attraction at ADIO, and Sarah Colbon, Co-founder of BioSoul, during a signing ceremony held at the UAE Pavilion at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The agreement builds on Abu Dhabi’s marine heritage and sets a path for the emirate to continue its global leadership in innovative marine solutions and technologies. By establishing its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, BioSoul will benefit from comprehensive and growth-enabling support as it broadens its scope across various industries.
Khalifa Al Mahmoud, Acting Director of Investor Attraction at ADIO, said: “BioSoul’s decision to establish its global headquarters in our emirate is a testament to our shared commitment to driving the green transformation. This partnership marks a significant step in fuelling long-term growth, not just in the marine industry, but across diverse sectors, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in sustainable solutions.”
The partnership is closely aligned with the UAE’s Green Agenda – 2030, a long-term plan to achieve the country’s sustainable development goals and grow its green economy, as well as with ADIO’s focus on supporting maritime activities and sustainable tourism in Abu Dhabi. The agreement offers avenues to accelerate the adoption of environmentally responsible practices within marine industries, creating a ripple effect that will extend into other key sectors.
The collaboration is also expected to set a standard for players within luxury sectors, such as yachting, to adopt sustainable principles through the design and production cycles. With a presence in Abu Dhabi, Monaco, and other locations around the globe, BioSoul is driving the adoption of cutting-edge solutions with the potential to redefine sustainable industries worldwide.
Sarah Colbon, Co-founder of BioSoul, said: “We are committed to making impactful connections to drive sustainable change. As a global hub for innovation, Abu Dhabi’s marine sector provides an ideal platform for BioSoul to help further the circular economy in alignment with the UAE’s Green Agenda – 2030. Our vision extends beyond the marine industry, and with ADIO’s support, we can realise our commitment to building a better world—consciously and collaboratively.”
ADIO’s partnership with BioSoul aligns with its ambition to build a comprehensive ecosystem that promotes sustainable industries, fosters innovation, and establishes Abu Dhabi as a global leader in the development and growth of bio-sustainable solutions and practices.
