ADQ and the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) have announced the renewal of a sponsorship contract for the President's Cup Championship, First and Second Division Club Leagues, for an additional three years starting from the current 2024 – 2025 season.
The renewal of the sponsorship agreement aims to reflect ADQ's continued commitment to encouraging the community to adopt healthy and active lifestyles by promoting integrated sports initiatives and programs.
Anas Jawdat Albarguthi, Group Chief Operating Officer at ADQ, said: “We are pleased to sponsor the President's Cup in addition to the First and Second Division leagues for the next three years. ADQ is committed to strengthening the UAE's position in the local, regional and international sports scene and encouraging members of the community to improve their health and wellbeing and by engaging in various sports.”
His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the UAEFA, said: “The renewal of the sponsorship contract with ADQ is an important step that will help build further on the joint achievements of the past three years. We are confident that this partnership will contribute to the development of the game and support initiatives that encourage members of the community to participate in sporting activities on a regular basis. The renewal of the partnership contract comes ahead of our national team's preparations for the third round of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Cup.”
ADQ has entered strategic partnerships with various international and local sports organisations with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles by supporting and encouraging sporting activities. In addition to its multi-year collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA), ADQ is the title sponsor of UAE Team ADQ, the UAE’s official women’s cycling team. ADQ also sponsors the cycling team UAE Team Emirates as well as Pyramids Football Club, a sports club in the Egyptian Professional League, as part of its commitment to investing in communities it operates in.
