The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has launched the Data Hub and Future Reporting Advancement - DHAFRA for data governance and management, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of customs clearance operations and expand the scope of the Invisible Customs System.

The launch took place at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion during its participation in GITEX Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The hub, powered by AI algorithms, manages, processes, and analyses data to provide accurate, automated predictions that support informed decision-making. This improves the quality of customs operations and facilitates the movement of trade, supply chains and logistics.

The Data Hub and Future Reporting Advancement - DHAFRA ensures operational efficiency by governing data quality and facilitating its digital sharing with relevant entities, adhering to the highest standards of quality, privacy, and reliability. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive repository containing data from various sources, enhancing the ability to proactively respond to changes and ensuring the seamless continuity of customs operations.

His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, said that the launch of the Data Hub and Future Reporting Advancement - DHAFRA for data governance and management comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi Customs’ continuous efforts in cooperation and coordination with various partners to support its operations, which is in line with its ambitious strategy towards consolidating its global leadership and enhancing the sustainability of customs systems.

This is achieved by relying on advanced technology, innovative techniques, and AI tools to present a unique model that aligns with the directives of the wise leadership and the economic visions of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The hub’s smart and more effective governance and data management reduce time and effort and accelerate procedures -especially in customs clearance operations- positively impacting the smooth flow of trade and enhancing the experience of clients, businesses, and traders, making Abu Dhabi a prime destination for business.
