Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) has upgraded its Internal Audit Platform. These include an innovative classification approach for internal audit units, as well as advanced technological improvements, aimed at streamlining the platform’s usability, facilitating data and document uploads, and providing guidance through a Knowledge Hub to support internal audit practices.
The Internal Audit Platform is a pioneering initiative by ADAA that creates a comprehensive database for internal audit units across the subject entities. The new classification approach evaluates and categorises the performance of internal audit units into three categories including: Category 1 - units that fully comply with audit rules and standards, Category 2 - units that comply with audit rules and standards with minor shortcomings and Category 3 - units that are not complying with audit rules and standards.
The newly introduced Knowledge Hub will serve as an interactive portal that provides internal auditors with a range of tools and resources to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with standards. An advanced dashboard enables ADAA to effectively and efficiently monitor the performance of internal audit units with the aim to elevate the quality of audit activities.
