Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services, one of the projects of the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the exchange of experiences in the field of research & development, and treatment & rehabilitation programs for people of determination aimed at building cooperation in providing advanced international levels of medical and rehabilitation care. Investing resources and energies in a positive environment to empower people of determination educationally, professionally, culturally and socially. In a way that suits their potential and aspirations.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency / Abdullah Abdulalee Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and on behalf of the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, His Excellency / Abdullah bin Hamad bin Zarah. Both of which attended the signing ceremony that took place through remote visual communication techniques along with a number of leaders from both sides.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding aims at joint cooperation in the field of supporting research in the rehabilitation of specialized therapeutic programs for children and adults, conducting a series of joint lectures and conferences remotely for the teams of the two parties in the field of rehabilitation and developing job skills. In addition to exchanging technical experiences in developing and designing treatment and rehabilitation programs for children and adults such as Cognitive and visual rehabilitation, child rehabilitation and early intervention program, splints and prostheses program, spinal cord injury rehabilitation program, stroke rehabilitation program, and brain injury rehabilitation.
His Excellency / Abdullah Al-Humaidan welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Partnership with the Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services, based in Riyadh Integrated Medical City, the largest medical organization in providing all services related to medical rehabilitation in the Middle East. The city provides advanced services in medical rehabilitation and surgery, using the latest scientific findings of advanced medical devices and equipment, whether for children or adults, and under the supervision of a highly experienced medical staff.

His Excellency / Abdullah Al-Humaidan thanked all officials of Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services for their cooperation with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and emphasized that the Foundation, headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, highly appreciates the cooperation with specialized institutions in the Kingdom, which is an embodiment of continued bilateral integration and partnership The successful strategy between institutions in the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in several areas, pointing out that Zayed Higher Organization seeks to build bridges of communication with all agencies and institutions, especially those that function in the specialized medical field that address vital issues related to People of Determination in order to empower them and integrate them into society.
Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Humaidan stated that by signing this agreement, Zayed Higher Organization aims to open new areas for scientific cooperation in line with the best international standards through partnership with specialized medical institutions, and the Foundation is working hard to take the initiative to achieve the vision of the United Arab Emirates and the vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in Serving people of determination, in a way that represents a catalyst for social development and promotes economic development at the local and social levels. In this context, he praised the endless support provided by all state institutions for people of determination, which contributes to the advancement of our dear homeland, the Emirates.
His Excellency added that the cooperation with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services is the second cooperation between Zayed Higher Organization and institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that Zayed Higher Organization concluded a previous memorandum of understanding with the King Salman Center for Disability Research in the fields of research and development for disability research, and the exchange of scientific and professional experiences. Publications, publications, information and the establishment of joint research projects in order to achieve their common goals, and to enhance each other's role in serving the Saudi and Emirati societies.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination will cooperate with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services in training and developing employee skills on the standards of international accreditation for health and rehabilitation facilities, designing and evaluating specialized rehabilitation programs, supervision and training of clinical skills and capabilities. In addition to utilizing the opportunity and benefit from the services of the Advanced surgical center in the city regarding a number of cases, including soft tissue relaxation, trauma surgery (scoliosis), all orthopedic procedures for children and general surgery cases, obesity surgeries, strabismus correction procedures, diabetic foot care, and others.
