The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs was ranked among the best work environments by the American Great Place to Work® institute, the global authority on recognizing high-trust, high-performing workplace cultures, to be the first government entity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to receive this certification.
The certificate was granted based on the questionnaire of the confidence index, which measures and evaluates the experience of the employees working at Abu Dhabi Customs, in which Abu Dhabi Customs achieved high rates in the evaluation criteria.
The evaluation criteria included:
- The effectiveness and impact of the internal communication between the leadership team and employees
- The employee’s sense of pride in the work they perform.
- Career well-being.
- Balancing personal life and work.
- The management's ability to include and develop the efficiency of creative and innovative employees.
- Team spirit and teamwork.
- The identity and corporate culture of Abu Dhabi Customs.
- Social responsibility.
His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, General Director of the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs, said on this occasion that the positive work environment is one of the main pillars of the institutional culture at Abu Dhabi Customs, which was built on an atmosphere of trust and motivation through the application, dissemination, and consolidation of the concept of happiness and job harmony in the administration.
He affirmed that the management is keen to implement the best international practices aimed at establishing a work environment that enhances the welfare and loyalty of employees in addition to establishing an empowered institutional environment capable of keeping pace with the leadership’s ambitious aspirations to strive for universality.
He added that the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs' interest in developing its personnel is among its priorities, which the wise leadership constantly emphasizes that human resources are the most influential element in the development equation, and the attention to providing a supportive environment is one of the most critical requirements that the government places at the forefront of its priorities.
This is in line with the UAE Centennial 2071, which seeks to invest in the country’s youth and equip them with skills and knowledge that respond to rapid changes and make the UAE the best country in the world by its centenary in 2071.
