In alignment with the UAE's designation of 2025 as the Year of Community, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre carried out the fifth edition of its Jusoor programme. Established in 2019, Jusoor invites individuals and institutions from diverse cultural backgrounds to a religious and cultural experience at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Since its inception, participants of the Jusoor programme have had the opportunity to gain profound insights into the centre’s mission, inspired by UAE Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed's vision of promoting universal human values. The experience offers a chance for personal growth and learning as attendees witness cherished Emirati traditions and gather to share meals in an atmosphere enriched by coexistence and human fraternity.

His Excellency Dr Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, said: “Direct interaction among diverse communities and cultures remains a highly effective method to bridge differences and highlight common ground rooted in fundamental human values. Indeed, the aspects uniting people significantly outweigh those that divide them. The dialogues fostered in spiritual ambiance offer an ideal setting to illustrate the authentic principles of Islam—sincerity, compassion, goodwill, solidarity, and coexistence—which Islam continuously promotes and reinforces.”

For its fifth edition, the Jusoor Programme successfully held 13 sessions engaging 1,231 participants from 13 embassies in the UAE, as well as representatives from various institutions and the centre’s employees.

The programme's value lies in moving beyond mere coexistence toward active, meaningful engagement. These personal interactions, anchored in shared human values and universal cultural understanding, strengthen connections among participants from diverse backgrounds, encourage open dialogue and idea exchange, and effectively highlight Islam's core values of compassion, solidarity, unity, and mutual respect.
