In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs’ Families Affairs at the Presidential Court, Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation signed an agreement with the government of the city of Astana, in the Republic of Kazakhstan on the establishment of a rehabilitation centre for Children of Determination, on the sidelines of the AVPN Global Congress 2024, being hosted in Abu Dhabi from 23-25 April 2024.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director-General of Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and on behalf of the Government of Astana City, Yerlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the City of Astana and the official representative of the Governor, in the presence of Janara Nugomanova, Director of International Cooperation in the City of Astana, and Jani Du Latoli, Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors of the City of Astana.
The agreement aims for the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation to establish a rehabilitation centre for Children of Determination in the Esil district of Astana, on an area of 2.18 hectares, which provides rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and children at risk of developing a disability due to various factors.
The agreement stipulates that the duration of the project execution and completion shall not exceed 24 months from the date of conclusion, and that the Government of Astana City will provide infrastructure connections, permits, licences and any required approvals with other parties to facilitate the progress of work at the construction site.
The agreement comes out of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation's support for comprehensive development efforts in the Republic of Kazakhstan and cooperation to embody and expand bilateral relations and strengthen and consolidate friendly relations.
His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director-General of Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, expressed his happiness with the cooperation and the signing of the agreement, which comes within the Foundation's directions to support the development of societies and build a better future for all, especially for People of Determination, and meet their needs and requirements.
Yerlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Astana City, praised the efforts made by Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation in charitable and humanitarian work, covering vital projects in various sectors, and commended the foundation's role in establishing development projects that contribute to the development of societies and provide a better life for all.
