In the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, has attended the launch of the 2024 Sandooq Al Watan summer programmes for university and school students.
During the event, Sheikh Nahyan emphasised Sandooq Al Watan's significant role in fostering national identity, loyalty, and youth empowerment, along with its summer programmes' contributions to promoting human values, preserving UAE cultural identity, and encouraging excellence in economic and scientific fields.
This year's offerings for school students include three programmes, including Qudwati, which focuses on promoting the UAE’s national identity. Fikrati, which encourages creativity, innovation, and initiative in humanitarian efforts, and the Language of the Qur’an, aimed at improving Arabic language proficiency. For university students, the Fursan Qeyam Al Ensan programme offers a three-week course on human values, followed by community service projects, initially launching as a pilot at select universities.
The Sandooq Al Watan summer programmes have already attracted significant interest, with more than 15,000 students registered to participate.
