Abu Dhabi Youth Council has concluded its sixth cycle (2023-2025), marking a journey of achievements that strengthened youth engagement and enabled them to contribute effectively to the nation’s development.
During this cycle, the council implemented more than 60 initiatives and activities, benefiting more than 2,500 young men and women, strengthened partnerships with more than 55 entities, expanded its engagement with more than 80 youth councils, and maintained regular dialogue with more than 400 young individuals.
During the recently held Youth Councils Forum, organised by the Federal Youth Authority and attended by several esteemed dignitaries, Abu Dhabi Youth Council was honoured with the Best Innovative Initiative Award for its Guided.ae platform. In recognition of the council’s impactful efforts, Chair Ghalya Ahmed Al Ali was named among the top three youth council members nationwide, receiving the Best Youth Council Member Award.
At the level of subsidiary youth councils, Saeed Aswad Al Ameri, a member of the Al Dhafra Youth Council, won the award for Best Distinguished Member. In second place was Musallem Hmoud Al Derei, Chair of the Al Ain Youth Council, and in third place was Latefa Hamdan Al Mansoori, Chair of the Al Dhafra Youth Council.

Nasser Al Mansoori, Abu Dhabi Youth Council member and key contributor to the Guided.ae platform, said: "Guided.ae was created to empower Emirati youth, offering them new opportunities to develop their skills and achieve sustainable income. More than just a platform connecting visitors with Emirati tour guides, it serves as a gateway for youth to showcase unique experiences that reflect their identity and culture. This recognition reaffirms that we are on the right path and serves as a catalyst to further develop the initiative and create diverse opportunities for Emirati youth."
As the sixth cycle concludes, the seventh cycle of Abu Dhabi Youth Council has been officially announced, with a renewed commitment to advancing youth aspirations and expanding their role across different sectors. This continuous renewal underscores the UAE’s steadfast commitment to empowering young leaders and equipping them with the tools to shape the future.
On this occasion, outgoing council members expressed their confidence in the newly appointed team, wishing them success in carrying forward the council’s mission and achieving greater milestones for the youth of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
