Ghadan 21 was launched in 2019. Envisioned and launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Ghadan 21 stimulated the emirate's development as a diverse centre of innovation in which businesses and people can thrive.
Ghadan 21 was implemented by the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee, led by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office.
Ghadan 21 invested in initiatives that support and deliver the transformation of the emirate's economy, knowledge ecosystem and communities. It also responded swiftly to the exceptional circumstances presented by the global Covid-19 pandemic, providing financial relief, ensuring continuous fiscal growth, and preserving economic gains.
