His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan has visited the 20th Liwa Dates Festival in Al Dhafra Region. His Excellency praised the event, organised by Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and its role in preserving the date tree, promoting related industries, and supporting local products and farmers.
His Excellency toured pavilions showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in palm farming and commended the organising efforts and participation of public and private entities to support the preservation of the UAE’s intangible heritage. His Excellency was briefed on festival events, including date, fruit mazayna and model farm competitions, and met members of the jury and organising committees.
