His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, has awarded Emirati poet Abdulrahman Al-Humairi the Prince of Poets title for the 11th season of the programme, which is produced by Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.

His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, has said that the 11th season of the Prince of Poets programme has further solidified Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading intellectual and literary hub, dedicated to reviving Arab cultural heritage and nurturing poetic talent through its diverse programmes and initiatives that support poetry and poets. He highlighted that this approach aligns with the vision of the wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, who is committed to preserving Arab identity and safeguarding the rich intellectual legacy of Arabic poetry—long regarded as the diwan of the Arabs and a chronicle of their history.

Al Mazrouei also expressed his gratitude for the support and keen interest of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He emphasised that these programmes reflect the emirate’s efforts in promoting Arabic poetry, broadening its audience, and ensuring its continued growth and preservation.

His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, congratulated the winning poets on reaching the finals of the programme’s 11th season. He expressed the authority’s pride and appreciation for all the poets who have taken part in the programme across its various stages and seasons.
