His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has visited the 21st Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), organised by the Emirates Falconers’ Club.
The event is taking place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 8 September 2024, under the theme Embracing the Future, Honouring the Past.
During the visit to the largest hunting and equestrian exhibition in the Middle East and Africa, His Highness toured exhibitor pavilions and displays and was briefed on the latest cutting-edge innovations in equestrianism, falconry, hunting, shooting, camping and marine sports which are helping to further advance the environmental sustainability of local and traditional practices.
During the tour, His Highness reviewed ongoing efforts by exhibitors to showcase and promote the UAE’s traditional sporting activities and traditions, commending their dedication to fostering national identity and raising awareness among youth on the importance of preserving Emirati customs.
His Highness further highlighted the annual event as an important bridge that connects present and future generations with the past, ensuring that the nation’s heritage and rich legacy endures for years to come.
His Highness was accompanied by his children as well as Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and Chairman of the Executive Committee; His Excellency Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority; His Excellency Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ADIHEX and Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers’ Club; and His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
The 21st ADIHEX serves as a platform to explore the latest innovations across 11 hunting and equestrian related sectors. It also offers a unique opportunity to experience a wide range of live performances and interactive heritage displays, with participation from more than 1,400 exhibitors and brands representing 65 countries.
