His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, has visited the sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2024. This year’s event marks the largest edition in the show’s history since its inception in 2018, attracting widespread local and international participation from leading global companies specialising in yachts, boats, fishing equipment and marine sports.
Accompanying His Highness were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, His Excellency Eisa Hamad Bu Shehab, Adviser to the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group.
During his visit, His Highness toured the various exhibition stands, viewing key products, equipment and technologies on display, some of which are being showcased for the first time in the Middle East. He also met with senior officials and executives from local, Gulf and international companies participating in the event who expressed their delight in being part of the exhibition, highlighting the significant progress achieved in this edition and the advanced capabilities of national industries in these sectors.
His Highness commended the efforts of ADNEC Group and its dedicated teams of Emirati professionals, who have enhanced the competitiveness of the exhibition and its ability to attract leading global brands. His Highness said: “This event reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing position as a global hub for the yacht, boat and marine sports industries. It also highlights the exceptional opportunities the emirate offers to support the marine sector and promote leisure tourism.
“In addition to fostering strategic partnerships in these vital sectors and facilitating the transfer and localisation of advanced technologies and knowledge to the UAE, the show plays a key role in showcasing Abu Dhabi’s rich maritime heritage. This contributes to preserving and sharing the nation’s assets, ensuring they are passed on to future generations, in alignment with the aspirations of our wise leadership.”
Organised by ADNEC Group, the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show runs over four days until 24 November at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event features a programme of marine activities and sports, highlighting the latest innovations in marine lifestyles.
