The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC), part of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, is participating in the Al Hosn Festival, underway until 9 February 2025. Held at the historic Qasr Al Hosn, the festival is one of Abu Dhabi’s premier cultural celebrations and an expression of Emirati heritage, featuring live performances, artisan markets, culinary experiences, and interactive exhibits.
As part of its participation, ADBWC organised Souq Al Teeb in collaboration with the House of Artisans, featuring 18 female-led enterprises that embody the UAE’s spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial excellence. Inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of Khawla Arts and Culture Foundation and wife of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, this initiative aligns with ADBWC’s mission to promote Emirati women’s products and increase their role in Abu Dhabi’s cultural and economic growth.
Beyond showcasing unique businesses, the council is organising 24 skill-building workshops focused on nurturing entrepreneurial talent, preserving traditional crafts, and inspiring innovation within Abu Dhabi’s vibrant business ecosystem.
Her Excellency Asma Al Fahim, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, said: “Our participation in Al Hosn Festival 2025 is a testament to our commitment to supporting and celebrating women entrepreneurs. Through this esteemed cultural platform, we aim to provide these talented women with broader exposure, connecting them to local and international audiences. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the ingenuity of Emirati craftsmanship while furthering the UAE’s vision of economic diversification and inclusive growth.”
The Abu Dhabi Business Women Council will feature innovative businesses led by Emirati women, including Oud Hay, Hikaye Boutique & Oud, Merwad, Sewn Threads, Zwain Fashion, and Meera Al Muhairi – Fine Jewelry. Unique offerings such as fashion, perfumery, artisanal goods, candles, and fine jewellery will highlight the diverse entrepreneurial talent represented at Souq Al Teeb.
To further support skill development, ADBWC will host engaging workshops such as The Craftopia (Arts and Crafts), Candelaria – Candle Making, By Fan Al Oud (Dukhoon Making), and Qissah (Resin Art). These sessions aim to preserve traditional craftsmanship while equipping entrepreneurs with the tools to innovate and grow their businesses.
The Al Hosn Festival, an annual event organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, celebrates the emirate’s rich culture and heritage, making it an ideal platform for entrepreneurs to connect with a wider audience and highlight Abu Dhabi as a hub of creativity and opportunity.
